Gwyneth Paltrow work out

The ugly truth about looking good at 38. Yicks...
Right now, i am exhausted. If i could get 8 hours straight at night of sleep maybe this would motivate me...I'll do 10 minutes and take a nap. LOL
I'll keep this on my fridge so i don't forget. I have short term memory when it comes to work out. LOL.

How to take care of a newborn

This seems easy but it really isn't. It take 1 hour and 30 minutes to get through but it really is non stop and exhausting.

Most family members miss one step. Even if you don't miss the steps the baby will be crying but as long as you do them the baby will be fine.
Keep it on the fridge and make sure you point it to them if you are going out of the house. They will call you anyways saying that the baby is crying. Not to worry you will say. The truth is we act like we know it all but we really don't. babies are still a mystery. we never know what they want or need.

we all know at the end that you can't replace a Mommy

Cheap perfumes for spring picks

You used all your perfume this winter and want a new one but can't afford it?
This is my selection and favorites for this spring. It is cheaper than the designer ones but smell very good for a happy spring.
And

I love the body spray and lotion. If you are not sure, they also have small sizes.
Do you wear a different perfume for spring?

Happy Birthday to Hubby and a Peanut butter and Jelly pie or dessert recipe

I am so late with all my post. I just downloaded 300 pictures out of my camera. I guess it is pretty hard for me to blog with a newborn. Taking care of a new baby is non stop even a super good baby like Soleil.
This is an easy dessert to make and i got so many compliments over the years. it is truly delicious.

The secret is Jello no bake, peanut butter cup dessert.
Just follow the instructions.

The oreo crust comes first. I used a form pan but you can use a pie pan.

Then the peanut butter filling.

Then 1/4 cup strawberry Jelly.

The hard shell comes last. I made a heart by letting the strawberry jelly show.
Whipping cream is very good on top too.

Happy Birthday sweetie. yes, the kids had to take turns blowing the candles.

Cute outfit and a binky story

I received a precious package from my friend Mary at Hope Filled living magazine. Thank you so much! Soleil loves it although she is giving me the "what the heck are you doing" look.

Thank you to Lauren from Lauren's cup of tea for her review on my book: A true Binky story. You can view her review here

The year of the dragon and dragon clouds

we saw 4 dragon clouds and i took this picture before it disappeared. 2012 is the year of the dragon.
I think those dragon clouds are just a coincidence. They only mean something to you if you know about the year of the dragon. To me it is special because i have a "dragon baby".
And i have a lot of expectation for this year.

High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.

It's all about baby love from my cell phone

"I'll just ignore you"

"Maman save me!"

"she just emptied"

Special K Commercial 2012 Closet Like a Candy Store with "beautiful" song

I am in LOVE with this commercial, the music, studio apartment decor. The music is so darling it makes me happy.
I totally want to stencil walls now and turn a room into a candy closet. I find this stencil. What do you think ?

In red, it would match the wall in the commercial.
I heard a lot of times that your house and closet should match and represent you. Use the colors you wear on your walls. I have been thinking about my clothes lately. Do they represent my taste in home decor?
I love black and white, Shabby chic. I am also attracted to all the colors in the rainbow.
I just love a lot of things.
If you look in the commercial. The home decor really represent her wardrobe, colorful.

So spring is calling me, I may be able to fit my clothes soon. I give myself till the end of my 6 weeks recovery to start walking 30 minutes a day till my body can handle running. I have find that running everyday is the fastest way to loose weight and shape up. I know it's not fun but after dealing with gestational diabetes, i have to brake it to you folks. You have to exercise if you don't want to have early Diabetes and cholesterol. That is just how it is. And when you hit your late 30s, your body doesn't work the same or look the same if you don't put some efforts to keep it in shape.

Oh and by the way i like the chocolatey delight special K a lot. I eat it for breakfast and it takes care of my chocolate craving for the day and helps me loose weight. Love it!

Are you ready for spring?
Hope this commercial gave you some inspiration.

My guest today: Brooke from the group Mercy River and new album "Higher"

An enormous thank you to Brooke from the group Mercy River for this little peak into her life and motherhood just for my readers. She was kind enough to write an article on Motherhood just for us! Love it!

You can find Mercy River on Facebook and at Mercyrivermusic.com .
Their music is a "feel good" music. Clean, positive and uplifting. I highly recommend you get their new CD "higher"at Deseretbook.com

The Nevers I Never Knew I'd Love By Brooke of Mercy River.

Before I became a mom, I had a long list of “Nevers”. Like, I would never let my kids in a store a) barefoot b) in PJs or c) in a swimsuit.

I would never let them jump on the benches in restaurants.

I would never bring snacks to church. (And thereby teaching them to…not want snacks in church? I’m confused on my reasoning for this rule.)

And I would NEVER have kids that threw fits at Target! I could keep going but I’ll spare you the list.

6 years later, with three kids in tow, I have broken every one of those “Nevers”.

Now I have quietly slipped off my soapbox of “Nevers”. Now I’m sitting in front of it, with my hands in the pleading position, begging for one thing. Understanding.
Motherhood is teaching me to be a little less critical, simply because I’ve discovered how difficult and complex this job really is. The longer I’m a mom, the more I’m learning. For each “never” that falls to the wayside, I always feel like there’s a just purpose. I have every intention to have shoes on every child during each outing, but sometimes I can’t find the shoes. (And dag nab it, I’m in a hurry!)
I DO dress my kids, but sometimes PJs are the only article of clothing that smells half decent.
And sometimes errands have to be run on the way home from the pool.
I TRY to make them sit quietly in a restaurant, but they can only color on the kids’ menu (with the 2 crayons provided) for so long.
And I’m sorry, but when you have an exhausted two year old at church, kicking the poor woman in front of you, it helps to shove a fruit snack in their mouth. (The two year old’s mouth, not the poor woman’s.) If it keeps a tantrum at bay, I’m for it.
If there are good reasons to break my Nevers, there must be good reasons for other moms to break theirs. So I’m learning to not criticize. When I see a tantrum being thrown in the store, I give the mom a look, but it’s a look of, “Sister, I TOTALLY know what you’re going through. Here’s a lollipop. And if you need the lollipop more than your child, it’s all yours.” I’m learning that being a mother is a very personal journey. Each of us is in different places, learning different lessons, with VERY different kids. And for the most part,
we’re all doing the best we can.
Although motherhood has made me lose lots of Nevers, there are other ones that I have discovered. Like I never knew I could love this much.
I never knew how much I would enjoy my nightly “snugs” with my daughter. I never get tired of kissing my baby. I never thought I would feel so much pride the day my son learned to dress himself. I never anticipated the giddy butterflies I would feel whenever I watch my kids laugh. I love these Nevers.

"the baby that must be kissed

at all times"

"Nothing like goofy faces and a bag of granola to

bring siblings together")

As my motherhood excursion continues I hope I learn three things: let
go of the bad Nevers, embrace the good ones, and have compassion for
the other mommies in the midst of their own journey. I may never
perfect them, but…never say never!

Soleil is 4 weeks

Time is going by so fast. Soleil is growing very fast and doesn't look so much like a new born. She is getting chubbier at 8 pounds, 4 ounces. She is growing a lighter ring around her pupil. She keeps me up at night and wakes up every 2 or 3 hours. I am trying to enjoy her as much as i can since she is my last baby.

The story behind Soleil's name

Soleil is not a typical French name. Soleil means sun in French but we do not usually use it for a name.

Monet "Soleil levant"

Mimi was doing a search paper on Monet and we were talking about the painting "Soleil levant".
Then i said to Mimi that Soleil would be a cute name for the baby. She agreed, then hubby said he really liked it.
I thought about it and thought that Soleil was a happy name and perfect!
It may have been 2 days before delivery...I really thought she would have no name...better late than never! LOL
